Chris Charman – Bio
Originally from Pennsylvania, broker associate Chris B. Charman moved to Florida in 1994 and brings more than 20 years of experience in the real estate market to the North Orlando office of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty. With over $700 million in offerings under his belt, and recognition as a top producer by a national realty company, he is uniquely qualified to assist with every facet of your real estate needs.
A full-time, full-service broker, Chris is experienced in the sale of residential, commercial, investment and income properties, as well as land development. He’s also well-versed in the transactions of multifamily, hospitality and land acquisition. His partner, Renee Kirwan, has strong ties to the national and international equestrian communities. Together, they have your wishes covered at every turn.
For several years, Chris enjoyed the liveaboard lifestyle and operated his business from his “floating” office. He is a member of the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association, the West Volusia Association of REALTORS® and has earned the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute designation. He is the past chairman of the WVAR International Development Committee, Commercial Development Committee and Leadership Development Committee. A skilled negotiator, Chris has completed Certified Commercial Investment Member courses in financial analysis and market analysis.
A consistent leader and mentor to newer associates, Chris enjoys sharing his knowledge and helping to educate his colleagues. This collaboration and teambuilding among co-workers, he believes, helps one and all strengthen companies.
Outside of his real estate career, Chris has been a small-business owner for over 30 years, working in both the private and government sectors and representing numerous Fortune 500 companies. With dealings both national and international in scope, client negotiations and representation are part of the skill set he’s honed from decades of hands-on experience. These attributes have transitioned to his real estate sales and brokerage career seamlessly.
In his leisure time, he enjoys scuba diving, bee keeping, playing the guitar and living an active lifestyle. He is the developer and founder of So Can I, a nonprofit adventure vacation company that catered to persons with special needs and spinal cord injuries. Through his personal funding, Chris was instrumental in the additions and alterations to Hontoon Island State Park in Deland, making it compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Chris is dedicated to offering superior, informed and trusted advice to all whom retain his services. Whether you are selling or buying, novice or expert, he possesses the tools to make your trip down Real Estate Road a smooth ride.
“Chris was a pleasure to work with, obviously well experienced in commercial real estate. – Patrick Shannon, DeLand
